Why Build
Modular?

Modular home building is about control - control of quality, timelines, budgets and the site.

Building modular also applies the advantages of consistency, speed and customization as well as material resourcefulness.

A Better Way To Build

It’s a better way to build and there’s no doubt that in the next 5 years we’re going to see a huge shift in how construction is done. It’s how you integrate materials; how much of it is delivered in completed modules versus pieces and elements. There’s less material waste, faster turnaround… it’s a smarter, faster, stronger system.

Modular homes are stick-built to the same building codes as a site-built home.

However, modular homes also offer several important advantages in comparison to site-built homes. A modular home is constructed in a climate-controlled, environmentally-protected production facility using exact and efficient construction systems. This allows for closer control through the building process and eliminates delays and adverse effects on the building products due to weather. Additionally, because modular homes have to be transported to the home site, the amount of structural support in a modular home far out-weighs the supports put in place in a stick-built home.

Modular Means More

Speed can mean savings, with prices potentially 15% less than site-built homes, according to the Modular Home Association. Building modular can also save 30% to 50% of time needed to build a new home, equaling two to three months versus site-built construction. That means savings on interest paid on construction loans. And because of the precision, systems-built technology, there is also half the waste of a typical site-built home, meaning savings in materials and disposal costs. “Going over budget” is virtually unheard of in the modular industry. As mentioned, climate-controlled production facilities ensure there are no weather-related construction delays for defects. Finally, due to the volume of building materials purchased in a year by modular home manufacturers, additional cost savings are incurred through purchasing contracts with suppliers.

The Modular Built Basics

Inherently Green

Only 2% material waste on average.

Site Risks

Protection from weather & weather related defects,
theft & vandalism.

Fast Completion

Built & finished in only a
few months from the
start-date of production.

Durable

Construction

Designed & built to be transported and lifted
onto the foundation.
